Easing selling pressure points to a possible bullish reversal for Pi Network (PI), which is showing tentative signs of recovery on Friday. Following the announcement of new updates, the token is testing a long-term overhead resistance trendline near $0.0794. The technical upgrades introduced by Pi Network aim to broaden the utility of its ecosystem.

In a blog post on Thursday, Pi Network outlined technical upgrades to its developer tools and products. The changes cover a redesigned interface for the developer Portal flow and historical price tracking for launchpad tokens in Pi BlockExplorer. They also include AI-assisted SoloHost app packaging and the expansion of PiVerify’s identity verification services to third-party businesses.
Near-term gains remain constrained as Pi Network trades at $0.0783 at press time on Friday. The token remains below a resistance trendline linking the highs of 20 June and 22 August, near $0.0794. Adding to this overhead hurdle is the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $0.0833, close to the declining trendline.
Selling pressure appears mild rather than extreme, with the daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) hovering around 43. Meanwhile, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) line has edged just above its signal line within negative territory, pointing to tentative efforts at stabilisation.
A break above the resistance trendline near $0.0794 is the first upside hurdle, ahead of the 50-day EMA at $0.0833. Together, these levels mark a nearby supply zone. Further up, resistance lies at 0.1049, the 50% retracement of the decline from $0.1392 to $0.0704, followed by the 200-day EMA at $0.1124. The cycle high near $0.1394 is the next barrier.
Should the prevailing bearish pressure continue, buyers could try to limit further losses at the Fibonacci anchor near $0.0704. This remains the only significant structural support on the downside.
