Bearish sentiment continues to weigh on Cardano (ADA), which trades below $0.189 on Tuesday as its correction deepens following the loss of a key support zone the day before. Conflicting derivatives readings and caution in on-chain indicators are restraining bullish sentiment. Deteriorating technical signals also point to further downside risks for ADA.

Caution and weakening conditions characterise Cardano’s derivatives market. On Tuesday, CoinGlass puts ADA’s long-to-short ratio at 0.75, close to its lowest reading in over a month. With the ratio below one, positioning signals bearish sentiment as traders wager on a fall in Cardano’s price.

By contrast, funding rates for Cardano turned positive on Tuesday at 0.0071%. This means long position holders are paying short position holders, pointing to a mildly bullish outlook.

A cautious picture emerges from CryptoQuant’s summary data. Large whale orders are evident in ADA’s spot and futures markets, alongside signs of overheating and seller dominance. Together, these readings indicate a cautious, bearish bias among Cardano traders.

The near-term outlook for Cardano remains bearish as Tuesday’s decline takes the price to $0.188, well beneath its short- and medium-term Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs).
Having broken below its former rising support trendline, ADA now faces that line as resistance at $0.218. The 100-day EMA at $0.215 and the 50-day EMA at 0.216 reinforce the overhead supply zone.
Although the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is hovering around 30, signalling that oversold conditions may be emerging, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) is still marginally negative. Downside pressure therefore remains dominant even as momentum fades.
Any recovery would first encounter the $0.215–$0.218 resistance cluster, formed by the 100-day EMA, the 50-day EMA and the reclaimed uptrend line. Beyond this zone, further hurdles stand at $0.236 and near $0.239, where the 200-day EMA lies. A stronger corrective rebound would bring the horizontal resistance levels of $0.245 and $0.299 into focus.
Should the current bearish move continue, attention would turn to horizontal support at $0.155, where a more clearly defined demand zone could take shape.
