“Gold is trying to build above its support, but resistance at $4,200 has not been broken yet.”

Silver is more volatile than gold because industry accounts for a large share of its demand. The gold-to-silver ratio is about 72.5, calculated as an ounce of gold divided by an ounce of silver, and a rising ratio is usually read as relative weakness in silver.

▲ Bullish: Gold: a clear close above $4,205 changes the trend and opens the way toward $4,230 and beyond.
▼ Bearish: Gold: a break below $4,065 support puts a $3,970 target in focus.
▼ Bearish: Silver: analysts see the $55 level as exposed if the current bounce fades.
