Top Altcoins Price Forecast: Post-midterms rally continues for Ripple, Cardano and Solana

  • $1.3100 remains below XRP as gains extend on Thursday. Bulls are targeting a return above the 50-day EMA near $1.3357.
  • After gaining 4% the previous day, Cardano pushes higher towards the broken trendline near $0.2040.
  • The 200-day EMA at $98.07 continues to limit Solana’s recovery, although momentum is turning more bullish.

$1.3357 is the 50-day EMA level being tested by XRP. Ripple (XRP), Cardano (ADA), and Solana (SOL) are among the leading altcoins posting gains on Thursday, building on this week’s steady recovery as relief following the US midterms supports sentiment. ADA is seeking to regain the lost trendline near $0.2040, while SOL approaches its 200-day EMA at $98.07. Easing selling pressure leaves the technical outlook bullish for these leading altcoins.

$1.3357 in focus as renewed buying lifts Ripple

A third consecutive day of gains puts Ripple at $1.3191 at the time of writing on Thursday. Around $1.2691, XRP has broken through the short-term resistance trendline linking the highs of 23 September and 28 October.

Despite the rebound, the broader bias remains bearish. Near-term price action is still constrained below the 50-period Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $1.3357 and the 200-period EMA at $1.3580.

On the daily chart, a cross above the signal line by the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) points to improving momentum. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is also near the neutral 50 mark. Together, these indicators suggest buying interest is rebuilding, although it is not yet strong enough to change the trend.

The 50-period EMA at $1.3357 presents XRP’s first resistance hurdle. Clearing it would bring the more substantial 200-period EMA barrier at $1.3579 into view.

Should selling pressure return, the former descending resistance trendline offers immediate support around $1.2691. Below that, the psychological $1.0000 threshold provides a deeper cushion.

$0.1894 remains Cardano’s key support

Following the previous day’s 4% gain, Cardano is holding around $0.1985. The near-term bias nevertheless remains bearish: ADA is below former rising trendline support at $0.2034, with the 50-day EMA at $0.2151 and the 200-day EMA at $0.2381 also limiting the price.

Trading below these major averages suggests rallies are likely to attract selling. Meanwhile, the MACD has edged towards its signal line, approaching a bullish crossover. Near 40, the RSI has recovered slightly from recently oversold levels. These signals point to tentative stabilisation, not a decisive reversal.

Regaining the lost trendline near $0.2034 is necessary for Cardano to re-establish an upward trendline. That could open a path towards the 50-day EMA at $0.2151.

Since 30 August, horizontal support around $0.1894 has held firm. This key level protects against a decline towards the 18 August low of $0.1712.

$89.69 trendline support underpins Solana’s rebound

A rebound from rising trendline support around $89.69 has brought Solana back to a test of its 200-day EMA at $98.08. At the time of writing on Thursday, it trades near $96.80.

The daily chart shows recovering momentum, with the RSI near 40 and the MACD line poised to move above its signal line. These conditions suggest downside pressure remains in place.

A daily close above the 200-day EMA at $98.08 would offer the first indication that pressure is easing. Beyond that, the 50-day EMA near $102.71 presents stronger resistance, ahead of the previous horizontal ceilings at $110.60 and $122.94.

Rising trendline support around $89.69 is the first downside reference, followed by horizontal support at $87.21. A further decline would bring the more distant support levels of $70.58 and $60.13 into play.
