3 Top Price Predictions: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple – BTC strengthens as selling pressure on ETH and XRP eases

  • $83,000 remains within reach for Bitcoin on Wednesday. The cryptocurrency is extending Tuesday’s modest recovery from its 50-day EMA at $80,796.
  • $2,480 marks the 50-day EMA ceiling for Ethereum, with bearish momentum weakening.
  • $1.33 is holding steady for Ripple after a gain of over 2% the previous day, pointing to reduced downside pressure.

The top three cryptocurrencies are stable on Wednesday. Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Ripple (XRP) are consolidating after a bullish close the previous day. With selling pressure subsiding, the modest recovery points to scope for a further rally.

$82,930: Bitcoin positions for a bullish reversal

$82,930 is Bitcoin’s trading level on Wednesday. Following the previous day’s modest rebound, its near-term bias remains bullish. The leading cryptocurrency holds above the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $80,769 and the 200-day EMA at $76,090, keeping the technical backdrop constructive.

On the daily chart, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) is close to crossing above its signal line, indicating weaker bearish momentum. Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands around 52, consistent with neutral conditions.

Should BTC’s recovery continue, the first resistance could come at $89,337, the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement. Beyond that lies the cycle-high zone at the 100% retracement of $97,924. The retracement’s lower anchor is $57,800.

The 50-day EMA near $80,769 provides the nearest downside support. Further demand levels sit at the 200-day EMA of $76,090 and the 50% Fibonacci retracement of $77,862.

$2,480: Ethereum targets a break above the 50-day EMA

At $2,449, Ethereum remains constrained beneath its 50-day EMA of $2,480, although it continues to hold above the 200-day EMA at $2,326.56. These contrasting trend signals point to consolidation within a broader bullish structure, while the near-term bias remains tilted lower.

In negative territory, the MACD line sits just below its signal line, while the RSI is close to 43. Both indicators point to weakening downside momentum, supporting the view that Ethereum is undergoing a corrective phase.

The first resistance is the 50-day EMA at $2,480. Sustained closes above it would temper the current bearish bias and could clear the way for further gains. Potential upside levels include the highs of 21 August and 21 September, around $2,546 and $2,807, respectively.

On the downside, Ethereum has support at the 200-day EMA near $2,326, where buyers are likely to defend the broader uptrend. A clear break beneath that level would point to a deeper correction towards $2,157, the 21 May high.

$1.333: Ripple holds firm after its rebound

At $1.333, Ripple is stable following a rebound of more than 2% the previous day. However, the broader uptrend appears to be losing momentum: XRP still trades below its 50-day EMA at $1.3748 and 200-day EMA at $1.3954. Its break beneath the rising support trendline at $1.3594 adds another constraint on upside potential.

Near-term technical support for the bulls remains intact at $1.2941, the horizontal level marked by the 15 June high. Restoring an upward trend requires XRP to regain the 50- and 200-day EMAs at around $1.3748 and $1.3954, respectively. Doing so could reduce the prevailing downside pressure.

Momentum indicators are consistent with these upside constraints. At 42, the RSI remains in the lower half of its range. The MACD is approaching its signal line as the negative histogram shrinks, suggesting that selling pressure is easing.

A sustained break below $1.2941 could prolong the decline towards $1.1866, the 8 June high.
