$1,300 remains below the Zcash (ZEC) price on Thursday. Three consecutive days of recovery have preserved its 15% advance so far this week. Interest from institutions and retail investors is reviving: Wednesday’s inflows exceeded $15 million, while ZEC futures Open Interest (OI) climbed to a 30-day high of $2.89 billion. As the recovery gathers momentum, the technical outlook continues to favour further gains.

Nearly a month after its 3-for-1 stock split on 28 September, Grayscale’s Zcash-focused Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) is signalling a recovery in institutional demand. Wednesday’s inflow reached $15.18 million, compared with $1.61 million a day earlier, according to SoSoValue data. Following three consecutive weeks of net outflows, the double-digit inflow marks a 30-day high.
Retail activity also shows a steady rise in the notional value of outstanding Zcash derivatives contracts. CoinGlass puts ZEC futures Open Interest (OI) at $2.89 billion, up from $2.25 billion on Monday and the highest reading since 29 September. Rising OI typically signals either an increase in the spot price or a build-up of positions.
Together, these figures suggest renewed institutional and retail interest in the privacy coin, nearly a month after Grayscale’s ETF stock split. That recovery in demand implies scope for further gains.

At $1,309 at the time of writing on Thursday, Zcash continues its steady three-day recovery. The four-hour chart retains a bullish bias, with the privacy coin trading comfortably above both the 50-period Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $1,210 and the 200-period EMA at $1,235. Those levels indicate firm support for the uptrend.
The same chart shows supportive momentum. Near 64, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) points to robust buying pressure that has yet to become extreme. Meanwhile, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) holds in positive territory, supporting the bullish tone.
Further gains remain the path of least resistance, bringing the 26 September peak of $1,698 into focus for Zcash. Should a breakout above that area be confirmed, the rally could reach a fresh annual high and enter price discovery.
Initial downside support lies near $1,300. Below that, a wider demand zone spans the 200-period EMA at $1,235 and the 50-period EMA at $1,210, potentially cushioning steeper pullbacks within the ongoing uptrend.
