Pi Network (PI) ticks lower on Thursday after two consecutive days of mild recovery, testing the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $0.0917. Pi Core Team announced a partnership with Open Standard on Wednesday to explore the OUSD stablecoin reward programs for Pi Network users, commonly referred to as Pioneers, and its utility across the Pi ecosystem. The technical outlook for PI suggests a mild upside bias, focusing on an extended rally for another breakout attempt above the $0.10 threshold.

Pi Core Team, in a social media post on Wednesday, announced its partnership with Open Standard, the issuer of Open USD (OUSD), a partner-governed stablecoin focused on open infrastructure. This stablecoin was also launched on Wednesday across Ethereum, Solana, Base, and Tempo, with over $1 billion in liquidity commitments from founders such as Visa, Stripe, and Google.
The partnership details are yet to be finalized, but the Pi Core Team said in the announcement that “Pi will explore rewards programs for Pioneers and broader utility across the Pi ecosystem.”

PI token trades around $0.0919 at press time on Thursday, keeping a broadly capped near-term bias. The price holds just above the 50-day EMA at $0.0917 but remains well below the 100-day EMA at $0.1004 and the 200-day EMA at $0.1294.
The 100-day EMA and the 50% retracement level, measured from $0.1341 to $0.0704, at $0.0990, reinforce the psychological barrier at $0.1000. A confirmed breakout above this zone could signal a trend reversal in the PI token.
Looking up, the potential breakout rally could face the initial resistance at the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement at $0.1204, followed by the 200-day EMA at $0.1294.
The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) line rises marginally above zero on the daily chart, holding a modestly positive histogram. At the same time, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) hovers near 52, hinting at mildly improving momentum that has yet to overcome the broader overhead structure.
On the downside, immediate support appears at the 50-day EMA at $0.0917, with a more meaningful structural floor at the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement near $0.0867, where a deeper pullback could attract dip-buying interest.
