Chainlink (LINK) trades above $18 on Friday. The token edges higher after testing a key support zone the day before. Its recovery comes after LG CNS and Chainlink agreed a strategic partnership to develop South Korea’s $68 billion digital asset market, strengthening the ecosystem’s outlook. Derivatives indicators also point to a gradual improvement in sentiment, lending support to the prospect of a further rebound.

To help develop Korea’s $68 billion digital asset market, LG CNS, LG Group’s technology arm, forms a strategic partnership with Chainlink on Thursday.
The official agreement sees LG CNS and Chainlink broaden the use and distribution of Korean stablecoins. This digital asset market has more than 11 million eligible users.
The press release stated: “The partnership also brings the full Chainlink platform into LG CNS’s ongoing work to build digital asset platform solutions for Korean institutions and establishes a joint collaboration to advance the technical standards underpinning Korea’s digital asset economy,”
Combining Chainlink technology standards with LG CNS’s institutional expertise lays the groundwork for compliant digital asset infrastructure in Korea, as well as global expansion.
By reinforcing Chainlink’s institutional presence in South Korea’s expanding digital asset market, the agreement points to a bullish long-term outlook for the token.
At 1.16 on Friday, CoinGlass’ LINK long-to-short ratio reached its highest reading in over a month. The derivatives figures point to improving sentiment towards Chainlink. Readings above one signal a bullish bias, with traders positioning for higher asset prices.

Funding rates for Chainlink also turned positive on Friday, reaching 0.0057%. This means long positions are paying short positions and points to a mildly bullish outlook.

A bearish picture emerges from CryptoQuant’s summary data for Chainlink. Large whale orders feature in LINK’s spot and futures markets, alongside signs of overheating and seller dominance. Together, these conditions indicate a cautious, bearish bias among Chainlink traders.

At $12.19 on Friday, Chainlink is consolidating with a neutral-to-slightly bearish bias. The price remains above the 100-day and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs), at $11.53 and $10.98 respectively, while the 50-day EMA at $12.39 limits the upside.
With the Relative Strength Index (RSI) around 44, the signal is mildly bearish. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD), meanwhile, remains below zero. This suggests bullish momentum is fading as LINK moves around its short-term trend barrier.
The 50-day EMA at $12.39 presents the first upside hurdle. Beyond it, horizontal resistance stands at $15.45.
Nearby horizontal support around $11.93 and the 100-day EMA at $11.53 form the initial demand area on the downside. Further below, structural support lies at the 200-day EMA near $10.98, followed by the lower horizontal floor at $9.92.
